calm tincture - relaxation blend & sleep assistance

Calm tincture is a blend of the preferred plants for relaxation: lotus flower, damiana, passionflower, lavender, chamomile and a hint of rose flower. I do outsource these plants as I can't or do not grow them, with the exception of rose flower. This blend has a strong perfume-like taste. Made on 6/15/25.

Ingredients: damiana, blue lotus flower, passionflower, lavender, chamomile, rose, menstruum is Everclear + spring water. Dried ingredients in 1:5, rose flower in 1:2, final tincture approx 50-52% ABV.

I have best results when I take this tincture at night before bed, but keep in mind that everyone is different & will respond in their unique way (I get some very vivid dreams when I take this, and if I happen to wake up in the night, I fall back asleep pretty easily). This is not something that should be taken daily for chronic anxiety; it's meant to be used for challenging times, or on the occasional urge of needing something extra. If you have longstanding sleep issues or anxiety, it's better to get to the root of that issue, rather than hoping a supplement will take the issue away. I know, that is not what anyone wants to hear. But it is truly worth it to fix root causes, I promise! 

The properties of these plants are nervine or antispasmodic. They are calming to the nervous system; they relax tissues that are over excited. This combination may have a very mild sedative effect but is not overly sedative (you can still function). Listen to your own body on this. Two people could take the same dose and have 2 totally different experiences. So, this is one where you really have to find your own specific dosage. Super sensitive people should start with 5-10 drops and work up from there. Non sensitive people can start with 15-20 drops.
