Welcome to A Forager's Collective...

Hello! Hello!

My name is Tricia and I've been making herbal products for over 12 years. I've lived in the Finger Lakes Region for just as long and use the land around me to create my products, whether that be from foraging or growing them myself. I do outsource some plants, as not everything will grow here:) I live with the seasons, and live close to the land. My products are inspired by the plants around me, and plants that I resonate with. Over the years I have played around with various ways of extracting plant properties from various plants... this will never end:) But I do have some tried & true methods that I feel deliver potent, fresh & effective products. My goal is just that, to offer the best quality and best representation of every plant used. A plant's energetic signature is its very essence, and my goal is that you feel this when using my products. I am very meticulous when growing or foraging, making, storing & packaging all of my products (it's kind of an ADHD perfectionist thing, which can be a pain when dealing with everyday life, but comes in handy when making products:))). I have sold on Etsy from the beginning of my journey but felt called to branch out to my own website, so here we are. I named my shop after foraging, because I love doing it and forage a variety of items from the Finger Lakes area. It's hard for me to just 'go for a walk', as I'll be looking for treasures the entire time! Finding anything out in nature always feels like a gift. I also rely on plants to supplement my health, whether it be through herbal products or by eating 'wild' food (food I have found out in nature). I will probably be sharing some of my herbal & foraging adventures in this blog, so stay tuned:)

If you haven't guessed, I have made this jump to having my own website from Etsy. I will always sell on Etsy (and Ebay), but boy do those platforms test one's patience! I was starting to feel a little bit suffocated by their politics & ever-increasing fees. Having a space where nobody can delete or remove my work is a giant peace of mind, and just being able to DESCRIBE MY PRODUCTS has ignited so much enthusiasm for what I do, that I had not realized was heavily suppressed. It's incredibly freeing to talk about the products I make, even if it's just a short paragraph. Etsy does not allow this, as everything is seen as 'medical advice'. So here I am, and while this is a huge learning curve for me, I am able to push through it out of sheer excitation of FREE SPEECH!
