The intention of Fountain of youth tincture is to capture all those dark berry antioxidants! This original formula is made fresh each year, from wild foraged & organically grown berries. Please note that this is an alcoholic tincture and is not going to taste like 'fruit punch':) It has a berry taste but also tastes of alcohol. Made on 9/16/25.
Ingredients: black currant, elderberry, black raspberry, blueberry, sour cherry, gotu kola, black current leaf, pine pollen in menstruum made from Everclear + spring water. Gotu kola tinctured from dry leaf in 1:5, rest tinctured fresh in 1:2 with the finished blend being 45-48% ABV.
The goal of this tincture is antioxidants! These dark berries are well known for being some of the richest plants in flavonoids & anthocyanin, 2 antioxidants that help protect the body against inflammation & oxidative damage. Gotu kola is also added because in my humble opinion, is sort of a queen when it comes to healthy tissues (it likes to heal). Pine pollen is also strong in antioxidants on top of providing radiation support. Black current leaf is also very high in antioxidants with anti-inflammatory properties. Most of these ingredients I grow or forage myself (with the exception of gotu kola) & tinctured separately in their ideal ABV to extract the most beneficial compounds, then blended together. This is an alternative to dried powders, which tend to be overprocessed, oxidated, & not super fresh:) Do you see why I cheesily named it Fountain of Youth now? :)

I have a slight 'wild berry' addiction. I can pick some berries! And I do... all summer. From June to September I am eating and picking berries, and I will do it in mosquito swarms, rainy weather, and in pickers & thorns! So that was the inspiration behind this tincture... I know not everyone has access to these wild plants, and let's be honest, even the best organic berries in the grocery store do not compare to wild or just picked berries. So, on top of making this tincture, I freeze berries, make fruit leather, jellies and eat copious amounts. Berries are a way of life in my house!
