My stinging nettle root tincture is unique as I have made it 'full spectrum'. This means I have extracted desirable plant compounds in low ABV & high ABV, then combined each together. I source this from Mtn Rose Herbs, and the root is organic. Made on 7/28/25.
Ingredients: dried organic stinging nettle root, menstruum is Everclear + spring water in 1:5, approx 65% ABV.
Stinging nettle root has many desirable compounds for health. The only downside to most tinctures sold is that the root is macerated in one ABV (alcohol by volume), and different ABV will capture different properties! Lower ABV pulls out anti inflammatory compounds (I use 50%), while the higher ABV pulls out hormone & prostate health compounds (I use 80%).
Stinging nettle root is often taken to assist with urinary issues, as an anti inflammatory, for prostrate health, allergy relief, urinary health & hormonal balance. It's one of those plants that is just 'helpful', however you ingest it. The leaves are super nutritive, and worth drinking daily (similar to how you would take a daily vitamin - but the tea must be fairly strong).
